Cabinets of Curiosities

I have signed up to do the Cabinet of Curiosities at Thistle Threads.com. It is an 18mth online course on embroidering an 17th century cabinet as well as the Stumpwork course.

This is my first sketch which is the front doors and two top friezes.

Here  it is in colour I'm not sure if the front doors will stay the same, I think I will do some more of the panels and see how it comes together.

needle felting

I am a member of CWA (country womens association) and this month we did needle felting. I hadn't tried it before but I can see many possibilities!!!!

 

This is my owl, he is 1 1/2" inches tall and took about 2 hours to make, we had a fun day with this tecnique.
