needle felting

I am a member of CWA (country womens association) and this month we did needle felting. I hadn't tried it before but I can see many possibilities!!!!

 

This is my owl, he is 1 1/2" inches tall and took about 2 hours to make, we had a fun day with this tecnique.

 

 

I am currently doing a journal swap with two other journalers and this is my latest page for Louise's nature journal.

 

 

I embroidered the leaf onto silk organza and glued it over the painted pages.

This is my latest doll, she is Gertrude a Jill Maas pattern.

 

 

I made her 11" when sitting and I mede her out of cotton lycra. I love Jill's patterns they have so much expression and are very silly, so lots of fun to make!!!!

These are my White Rabbit and Alice for the Alice in Wonderland swap at Art Colony.

 

This is my adaptation of Aboriginal dot art for a post card swap.

 

And these are for the Twisted Snow White swapon Art Colony. The first one is my Surrealist Snow white and the second is my Pop Art Snow White.

 

I really enjoy the swaps on Art Colony , they are interesting subjects and can be quite challenging at times, lots and lots of fun!!!

I love to create, I learn't to sew and crochet from a young age and then I worked as a dressmaker making mostly designer bridal dressses
I,ve also been making costumes for our local theatre group on and off for the last 10 years.
Now I,m a full time mum I have a bit more time and love experimenting with new techniques and mediums.
I make cloth dolls, machine and hand embroidery, artist trading cards, art journals and mixed media.
